A true design classic in a completely new guise. This vintage Alky armchair by Artifort , designed by Giancarlo Piretti , has been completely reupholstered by me and the interior has been restored.

The original ochre yellow upholstery has been replaced by a full, dark brown polyester faux fur. The long pile gives the armchair a soft and distinctive appearance while simultaneously emphasizing the round, organic forms of the design. From every angle, the Alky looks just slightly different.

The low seat, wide backrest, and distinctive legs make the Alky a comfortable lounge armchair, but above all, a striking object in the interior. The deep brown tone combines beautifully with light and natural materials, bringing warmth and texture to a tranquil space.

Reupholstering an existing design classic gives a piece of furniture that has been around for decades a completely new lease on life. Not a newly produced piece of furniture, but existing design recreated for years to come.
