Vintage office chair | 1950s/60s

A distinctive vintage office chair with an elegant chrome-plated frame, four-star base and characteristic black armrests. The frame’s curved lines give the chair a striking 1950s/60s look.

The chair has been completely rebuilt. Both the seat and backrest have been fitted with new foam and reupholstered in a soft chenille in a warm ochre yellow.

The upholstery fabric is made of 100% polyester and has an exceptionally high Martindale rating of 120,000. This makes it highly durable and suitable for intensive use.

The metal frame has also been carefully cleaned, and as much of the rust as possible has been removed. The chair swivels and is height-adjustable by turning the seat. The seat height can therefore be adjusted from approximately 45 to 59 cm.

The combination of polished chrome, black armrests and soft ochre chenille gives this vintage office chair a fresh, contemporary look.

Condition

The chair is vintage and shows signs of use consistent with its age. The frame has been cleaned and as much of the rust as possible has been removed. There is still some rust on the inner section of the height-adjustment post, and the chrome plating is damaged in places. This section becomes visible when the chair is raised.
